The Resistance Hoodie reimagines one of Palestine’s most powerful emblems, the watermelon, as a statement of defiance and remembrance.

When the Palestinian flag was banned in the 1980s, artists and protesters used the watermelon’s colors — red, green, white, and black — as a quiet act of resistance. The watermelon became a coded way to express national identity when expression itself was forbidden. Today, it remains a symbol of cultural pride, creativity, and steadfastness in the face of oppression.

Each slice running down the sleeves carries that legacy: a visual echo of the Palestinian flag, representing unity and endurance.

The red triangle on the chest draws directly from the flag’s resistance triangle, a symbol of strength and revolution, housing the word "Bedawi" (بدوي): meaning nomad or of the desert, embodying freedom, authenticity, and self-reliance.
